Hero Hurikan 440 Overview

The biggest motorcycle producer of India, Hero MotoCorp has recently applied for the trademark for its upcoming motorcycle Hurikan 440. The upcoming Hurikan 440 will be a naked streetfighter motorcycle that will compete with the likes of KTM Duke 390, Dominar 400, Triumph Speed 400, and other bikes in the segment.

The upcoming Hero Hurikan 440 will share the engine with the recently launched Harley Davidson X440. It will be powered by a 440 cc single cylinder air-oil cooled engine that produces a max power of 27.37 PS and peak torque of 38 Nm. It will have 6 speed gearbox and it might be offered with slipper and assist clutch. Hero will tune the engine to offer better performance to suit the characteristics of a naked street fighter.

The Hurikan 440 is expected to offered with LED lighting all around and a fully digital instrument console. It will get USD forks at the and mono shock suspension at the back. For braking it will get disc brakes at both the ends and dual channel ABS as standard for added safety.

The Hurikan 440 will share the engine with Harley Davidson X440 and it will be tuned to produce more power and torque. The Hurikan 440 is expected to hit the top speed of 140 kmph. As per the mileage, the HD x440 offers 30-35 kmpl and the upcoming Hurikan 440 is expected to deliver similar or better mileage than this.

Hero MotoCorp has not yet revealed the official launch date of the Hurikan 440, but it is expected to launch in the first half of 2024.
