CFMoto SR450 Fully faired sports bike revealed

CFMoto, a Chinese manufacturer, has been introducing new models in various markets. The SR450 with full fairing is one of these.

The SR-C21 concept, displayed at the EICMA in 2021, served as a stylistic inspiration for the CFMoto SR450. Although CFMoto currently offers the 300SR, the 450SR adopts a more cutting-edge aesthetic.

The SR450 is eerily similar to the Keeway 300SR sold in India, so you’re right if you think it looks familiar. The CFMoto 450SR has a sporty appearance with a sleek front end that LED DRLs and a headlamp accentuate.

Even the colour scheme is the same: grey, black, and red, much like the concept it is based on. The aero winglets on the fairing are still there, which is unique for its segment.

The SC project’s carbon ceramic brakes and full-system exhaust are now obsolete. And even though the clip-on handlebars have been lowered, they are still included with the production bike.

The bike is 1990 mm long, 735 mm wide, and 1130 mm tall in terms of dimensions. The seat height is fixed at 795 mm, while the wheelbase is 1370 mm. The kerb weight is 168 kg, and the fuel tank’s capacity is 14 litres.

The bike has a single 320 mm disc up front and a 220 mm disc at the back for braking needs. Additional features include ABS, USB connections, a 5-inch TFT display, and a T-box, a linked module with 4G connectivity and real-time data like the motorcycle’s location, mileage, etc. The T-box can also be paired with the user’s mobile phone.

CFMoto SR450 Powertrain and performance

The CFMoto SR450 is powered by a 450cc parallel-twin engine located beneath the fairing with an output of 49.61 bhp at 9500 rpm and peak torque of 39 Nm at 7600 rpm. The 450SR can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5 seconds.

The CFMotor SR450 is giving tough competition to KTM RC390.
