KTM has launched its new motorcycle, the duke 790 in India which is also the most awaited motorcycle in India. The duke 790 is a performance sportbike which is already being sold in international market.

KTM Duke 790 Looks and design:
The duke 790 comes with spectacularly amazing design with good handling and aerodynamics. The looks of the duke 790 is aggressive and sporty. The seating posture of the bike is sporty which gives a confident to the rider.
The bike looks like the elder brother of KTM duke 390 which is also a very good motorcycle in India. It comes with all LED lights including headlight, taillight and turn indicators.

The paint scheme of the duke 790 is the same which is sold in the international market. The Duke 790 comes with an orange paint scheme which is the trademark colour of KTM.
From a design standpoint, the 790 Duke sports the same aggressive styling that’s seen on the Duke series Compared to its cousins, it gets a side-mounted upswept exhaust and a slightly stretched out wheelbase

KTM duke 790’s specifications:
Engine:
Talking about the engine specification of the new duke 790 then it comes with 799 cc dual cylinder fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine which produces 103 bhp at 9500 rpm and 87 Nm torque at 8000 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed transmission and a bi-directional quick-shifter for clutchless up and downshifts.
The engine performance of the bike is aggressive and punchy. KTM has carried forward its legacy of making good performance motorcycle by launching its duke 790.
being a 799 cc motorcycle, company claimed that it will give an average mileage of 22.7 Kmpl. It comes with 14 litres of fuel tank which can give an overall range of 317.8 km on full tank.
The bike comes with four riding modes track, rain, sports and street.

Tyres and brakes:
As the duke790 is flagship and sport motorcycle by KTM i.e it has to come with a good breaking power. The bike comes with Four-piston radial fixed dual calliper and Single-piston floating calliper at rear.
The 790 duke comes with 300 mm dual disc at front and 240 mm single disc at rear. The bike comes with ABS(anti-lock breaking system) as a safety feature.

Both the wheel size of the 790 duke are 17 inches and it is made of cast aluminium. The front tyre size of the bike 110/70 X 17 whereas the rear tyre size is 150/60 X 17. Both tyres are tubeless.
Chassis and suspension:
The 790 Duke comes with a Chromoly trellis frame and single-piece aluminium rear subframe which helps keep the weight down to 169kg (dry).
Talking about the suspension then it comes with 43 mm WP upside-down forks at the front and WP mono-shock at rear which gets 12-stages of preload adjustability.

Dimension and capacity:
The overall length of the 790 duke is 2128 mm and it has a saddle hight of 825 mm. Ground clearance of the motorcycle is 186 mm and its wheelbase 1475 mm.
Features:
If we talk about the features of the new KTM’s 790 duke then it comes with lot of features like LED headlight, LED tail light, LED turn indicators, low battery indicator and low fuel indicator etc.
In terms of features, the 790 Duke gets a full-digital TFT instrument console. It also gets a number of electronic rider aids like stability control with cornering ABS, supermoto mode and ‘Motor Slip Regulation’ (MTC), which is essentially an engine brake control that works to balance off high revs while aggressively downshifting.
Additionally, the 790 Duke features a traction control system with lean angle sensitivity and ride-by-wire over and above four rider modes: Sport, Street, Rain and Track — which opens up a plethora of other rider aids like anti-wheelie control, launch control, traction control with a spin adjuster and throttle response.

Price of the KTM 790 duke Ex-showroom delhi is Rs 8.63 lakh and it will be available in only 9 cities of india.
Competitors:
The 790 duke is a naked streetfight sport bike in india and it comes in 800 cc category therefore it has many competitors like the flagship kawasaki z900, Suzuki GSX 750 and triamph street triple RS.

REVIEW:
The 790 duke comes with an aggressive design which is very attractive and it gets everyone’s eyes on it. Engine Performance of the bike is very good and works smoothly. Exhaust design of the duke 790 looks dope and it’s sound is just amazing.
Breaking of the bike is very good as it has dual disc with a four-piston calliper at the front and it also has cornering ABS which is dual channel. The instrument cluster of the bike is just amazing with lots of information.
The Chrome-Molybdenum Steel Frame chassis helps the bike being light weight. The only disappoint of the 790 duke is that it has only 14 litres of a fuel tank.
