Pulsar RS400 overview

The Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is one of the most awaited bikes in India since it was showcased in 2014 AutoExpo. The Pulsar RS200 and Pulsar RS400 were showcased together but only RS200 got approval from the government. Now the MD of Bajaj Auto has revealed that they are planning to launch the biggest Pulsar which might be the Pulsar RS400 or NS400.

The upcoming Bajaj Pular RS400 might share the powertrain with the 2024 KTM Duke 390 or Triumph Speed 400. It will be powered by a 399 cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine that produces a max power of 44 BHP and peak torque of 39 Nm. Engine will be mated to a 6 speed gearbox along with slipper clutch and assist. Bajaj might offer bi-directional quick shifter in the new Pulsar RS400.

In terms of componentry, it will get USD forks at the front and monoshock absorbers at the rear. 17 inch alloy wheels at both the ends along with the tubeless tyres. Braking duties will be handled by a single 320 mm disc at the front and 240 mm disc at the rear.

2024 Bajaj Pulsar RS400 top speed, and Mileage

The expected top speed of Bajaj Pulsar RS400 is around 175 kmph and it will offer a mileage of around 30 kmpl.

Bajaj Pulsar RS400 launch date

Bajaj Auto has not revealed the exact launch date of the Pulsar RS400 but the MD of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj has hinted that the new Pulsar RS400 might launch by the end of the financial year 2023-2024 which indicates that It will launch in March 2024.

The current Dominar 400 which is Bajaj’s flagship model is priced at Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom).So we can expect the Pulsar RS400 to cost around INR 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) due to the added fairing.
