The 2023 Toyota Prius comes with new designs and it is available in two hybrid engine options – a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force engine and 1.8-liter engine.
The Prius has long been renowned for its eccentric styling and design, which is either loved or despised. To give it a fresh lease on life, the Japanese automaker extensively overhauled the exterior and interior.
The headlights and sloping nose give the front end a striking appearance. The side profile features a straightforward yet sporty design with some youthful-looking curves. The coupe-like shape is retained, but it now has a more confident look.
The glass-covered boot and sloping roof in the rear design merge together. A short bar of tail lights is present. Overall, we think it looks considerably better than any of the four prior iterations.
The dashboard now has a more European appearance, and the interior also receives a redesign. In the cabin, there is a minimalist aesthetic. It has a 12.23-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system as standard equipment. The digital instrument cluster also has the illusion of floating. The redesigned steering wheel has several controls and a chunky appearance.
Engine and power
There are two hybrid engine choices available in 2023 Toyota Prius. One is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force engine and an electric motor that together produce 220 HP. The other one is a 1.8-liter engine with a combined power output of 193 HP.
It’s unlikely that the new Prius will be introduced in India very soon. However, given that hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more popular in India, Toyota India might think about importing the vehicle via CBU.
The price of the 2023 Toyota Prius is expected to be around $27,000.
