On December 15, the Bangalore based EV start-up has announced the launch of its new electric scooter, the Simple Dot One at the introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). The introductory price was valid only for pre-booked customers in Bangalore until the inventory lasted.
Now, from 1st January 2024, the Simple Dot One electric scooter will be Rs 40,000 more expensive and the new price will be Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom). The pre-booking will open from 27th January 2024 Onwards. Customers would need to pay a token amount of Rs. 1,947 only. The booking and deliveries would start in Bangalore first.

Simple Dot One e-scooter
According to the brand, the new Simple Dot One electric scooter comes with an especially designed tyres which will help maximise the on-road range. It is equipped with 3.7 kWh fixed battery pack that offers a riding range of 160 km per charger which is claimed to the be the longest range in the electric two wheeler segment.
The electric scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds and it can hit a top speed of 105 kmph. The Dot One electric scooter rides on 12 inch front and 12 inch rear alloy wheels wrapped with 90/90 section tubeless tyres. Braking duties are handled by a disc brakes at both the ends along with the combi braking system.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at he the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. It gets touch screen instrument cluster with mobile app connectivity as well.
There is also 35 litres under-seat storage that can be used to store stuff. The all new Simple Dot One electric scooter is powered by an 8.5 kW electric motor that can produce a peak torque of 72 Nm.
