On 17 April, a railway pointsman Mayur Shelke saved 6 six-year-old boy from an oncoming train at Vangani station, Maharashtra.
The boy who was walking on the platform with his blind mother fell on the track of an oncoming train. However, Mayur Shelke dashed towards the kid and saved him just in time, almost injuring himself.
The selfless act of Mayur Shelke has earned a lot of praise from all over the world and the ministry of railways has rewarded him with a cash amount of Rs 50,000.
The Jawa 42 is powered by 293 cc single cylinder liquid cooled DOHC engine which produces the max power of 27.33 PS and the max torque of 27.02 Nm. It comes with 6 speed gearbox and fuel injections system.
The kerb weight of the bike is 172 kg and it has 14 litres of fuel tank. For the safety it has Dual channel ABS.
