Triumph motorcycle and Harley Davidson has launched their new affordable motorcycle in India. Triumph Speed 400 is the new cruiser bike that compete with the Harley Davidson X440 and Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The Triumph Speed 400 is also the most affordable and smallest bike by the brand. Triumph has launched the Speed 400 along with the Scrambler 400.
Harley Davidson is known for its premium cruiser bike, but the American motorcycle brand has already left India and they handover their operation to Hero MotoCorp. Now the American Motorcycle brand Harley Davidson has partnered with Hero MotoCorp to launch its first single cylinder and the cheapest motorcycle in India. The HD X440 is the smallest bike in the company’s portfolio that comes with single cylinder engine. In this article we are going to do a comparison between the Speed 400 and HD X440.
Speed 400 vs HD X440 which bike has better look?
Looks:
In terms of looks, the Triumph Speed 400 comes with a street-cruiser look which is inspired from the bigger and more powerful Triumph Speed 900. At the front, it gets round headlamp and round rearview mirrors that gives it a retro look, but it does have some modern touch. The golden front forks looks great on the bike and its Analogue-digital instrument console displays essential information which is needed by the rider.
It gets single piece handlebar and up-right riding posture that helps the rider to do long stretch comfortably. The side profile of the motorcycle looks great specially because of its V shape clutch cover and matte silver color exhaust.
Talking about the Harley Davidson X440, so the main goal of Hero was to create a versatile roadster rather than the typical Harley-style cruiser, and this intention is evident in the design of the motorcycle. The X440 takes design inspiration from the classic Harley XR1200, featuring broad shoulders, wide handlebars, and robust lines. While the large fuel tank and clean side panels add to its aesthetic appeal, the tail section appears somewhat awkward, making it a bike that looks better from certain angles than others.
As for the features, the X440 is equipped with a single pod TFT console for instrumentation, which is a standard feature across the entire range. However, the top model offers additional connectivity options. The headlamp is a powerful full LED unit that stands out, and it includes a light sensor that automatically activates the main beam when the ambient light decreases. This is a notable feature, as it is the first of its kind at this price point in the motorcycle market.
