The Bajaj Pulsar RS 400 is one of the most eagerly awaited upcoming motorcycles in India and is expected to mark a new performance benchmark for the Pulsar brand. Developed by Bajaj Auto, the RS 400 will sit above the Pulsar RS200 and is likely to be based on the updated NS400Z platform. Bajaj has recently teased a high-performance single-cylinder motorcycle on social media, strongly hinting that the Pulsar RS 400 reveal is just around the corner, with a launch expected in early 2026.
The Pulsar RS 400 is expected to be powered by a 373.27cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing around 43 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Performance-focused hardware such as a perimeter frame, 43mm USD front forks, adjustable rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, and wide radial tyres should deliver sharp handling and high-speed stability.
In terms of features, the RS 400 is likely to offer full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster, ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, traction control, and a possible bi-directional quickshifter. With an expected ex-showroom price of around ₹2.10 lakh, the Bajaj Pulsar RS 400 could emerge as a highly value-packed alternative to rivals like the KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR 310.
