The BMW iX pure electric SUV has been launched in India at the price of Rs 1,15,90,000 (Ex-showroom). The BMW’s new technology flagship Electric SUV is available as the completely built-up unit (CBU) in India.

The iX EV is launched in xDrive40 from and it can be booked through BMW dealerships as well as online through the brand’s site. Deliveries of the BMW iX will start by the beginning of April 2022.

Globally, this Electric SUV was unveiled a year ago. According to the BMW, The car has monolithic exterior styling. It does feature sleek lighting units, stylish wheels, and contemporary character lines throughout.

The BMW’s electric SUV comes with a minimalistic interior which includes olive-leaf tanned natural leather upholstery and an interior in Castanea color scheme. BMW says the interior is minimalist yet spacious due to the absence of a central tunnel.

Talking about the interior, the BMW iX has a Signature kidney grille with sensors, radar tech, camera, and proximity sensors in body edging.

The hefty price tag of the BMW iX gives you plenty of features in the car like ambient lighting, multi-functional seats with massage function, panorama glass roof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a head-up display, and a 14.9-inch touchscreen.

The Electric SUV also has wireless charging, 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Virtual Assistant, Natural Interaction (gesture control), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Parking Assistant Plus surround-view camera, and Reversing Assistant.

The BMW iX has an electric motor on each axle which produces the max power of 240 kW (322 BHP) and 630 Nm of torque. The Electric SUV has 2 high-voltage batteries with a combined capacity of 76.6 kWh.

BMW iX available colors:

The BMW iX pure electric SUV is available in five color options – Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Sophisto Grey, and Aventurine Red (BMW Individual paint option).

BMW iX range:

As per the company claim, the BMW iX has a maximum range of 425 km on a full charge and it can do 0-100 Kmph in just 6.1 seconds and consumes up to 22.5 kWh per 100 km. The car comes with three driving modes – Efficient, Personal, and Sport.

BMW iX charging time:

The BMW iX’s battery can be fully charged in 7 hours with an 11kW AC charger, if you use a 50kW DC charger then 80 percent of the battery can be charged in 73 minutes and if you use a 150kW DC charger then the same 80 percent of the battery can be charged in just 31 minutes.

As an introductory offer, the BMW iX price will include an 11 kW wall box charger. Also, BMW says it aims to install fast chargers at its dealerships present across 35 Indian cities.
