The TVS Tangent RR is a supersport concept unveiled at EICMA 2025, previewing a future Apache RR 400/450. With a parallel-twin engine developed alongside BMW Motorrad and premium racing hardware, it showcases TVS’s ambition to compete in the global middleweight sportbike segment.
The TVS Tangent RR is an exciting supersport motorcycle concept that reflects TVS Motor Company’s future direction in the premium performance segment. The concept was officially unveiled at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy, one of the world’s biggest motorcycle shows. Designed as a track-focused yet road-usable machine, the Tangent RR previews what could become the TVS Apache RR 400 or Apache RR 450 in the coming years. Although it is currently only a concept model, it has generated massive interest among Indian and global motorcycle enthusiasts.
Unlike some recent TVS concept motorcycles, the Tangent RR is not an electric bike. It is powered by a newly developed parallel-twin petrol engine, co-engineered with BMW Motorrad. This same engine platform is expected to support future BMW motorcycles as well, making the Tangent RR an important showcase of advanced engineering and international collaboration. At present, TVS has not confirmed production, but industry reports strongly suggest that the company is evaluating a road-legal version.

TVS Tangent RR (Apache RR 400) expected launch date and price:
As of now, TVS has not announced an official launch date for the Tangent RR in India. However, based on development timelines and homologation requirements, automotive experts estimate that a production-ready version could arrive around 2027. The delay is expected as TVS will need time for emissions compliance, real-world testing, and global market preparation before introducing the motorcycle commercially.

If launched in India, the expected price of the TVS Tangent RR is likely to fall between ₹4 lakh and ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom). This would place it in the premium middleweight supersport category, positioned above the Apache RR 310 and directly competing with international brands in the 400–500cc segment.
Tangent RR or Apache RR 400 specifications:
The engine is expected to be a 420–450cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin unit. Power output is estimated at around 47–48 horsepower, with torque figures of approximately 43–45 Nm. The motorcycle is likely to feature a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, ensuring smooth gear shifts during aggressive riding. A unique crankshaft configuration may also be used to deliver a distinctive sound and character compared to conventional twin-cylinder engines.
Since the Tangent RR is still in the concept stage, official performance figures have not been revealed. However, TVS has designed the motorcycle for strong mid-range performance, quick acceleration, and excellent high-speed stability. The bike is expected to offer a fine balance between everyday rideability and track-focused performance, making it suitable for both enthusiasts and experienced riders.
In terms of design and ergonomics, the Tangent RR features a true supersport riding posture. It comes with low clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs, and an aggressive body profile. The chassis uses a monocoque subframe made from intelligent composite materials, which helps reduce weight while improving rigidity and aerodynamics. An aluminium swingarm further enhances stability and handling.
The suspension and braking hardware on the concept motorcycle are clearly premium. It is equipped with Öhlins upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by twin front discs with Brembo radial calipers and a single rear disc. Additional hardware such as a steering damper and adjustable levers further highlight its track-oriented nature.

The Tangent RR concept also features a round full-color TFT instrument cluster, giving it a modern yet distinctive look. If the bike enters production, it is expected to include advanced electronics such as multiple riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control, and TVS SmartXonnect connectivity. Riding modes like Sport, Track, and Rain are highly likely, similar to what is offered on the Apache RR 310.
TVS has not revealed any official color options for the Tangent RR yet. The concept model was showcased in aggressive racing-inspired liveries with sharp graphics, indicating that the production version may receive bold and sporty color schemes.

TVS Apache RR competetors
If launched, the TVS Tangent RR (Apache RR 400/450) will compete with motorcycles such as the Aprilia RS 457, Kawasaki Ninja 500, Yamaha YZF-R3, KTM RC 390, and possibly the Ultraviolette F77 in terms of performance positioning. This would place TVS directly in the global middleweight supersport battle.
Overall, the TVS Tangent RR represents a major milestone for TVS Motor Company. With its parallel-twin engine, premium components, and strong racing DNA, it has the potential to redefine what an Indian-developed supersport motorcycle can achieve. While its production future is still unconfirmed, the Tangent RR clearly demonstrates TVS’s ambition to compete on a global level.
