Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 overview

The latest Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has been revealed at the 2023 MotoVerse event in Vegator, Goa. The RE motorcycle is more of a classic styled roadster with a similar ergonomics as the Super Meteor 650. The new Shotgun 650 shares most of its components with Super Meteor 650 including its engine.

It is powered by the same 647.95 cc parallel twin cylinder oil cooled engine that also does the duties in interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650. It produces a max power of 47 PS at 7250 rpm and peak torque of 52.3 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6 speed gearbox along with a slipper and assist clutch.

It gets USD forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both the ends.

Shotgun 650 top speed and mileage

The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 offers a similar performance as the SM 650. It can hit a top speed of 170 kmph and it is expected to deliver a mileage of 25 kmpl.

Shotgun 650 launch date

The new RE Shotgun 650 was launched on 24 November 2023. As for now, only 25 units of the Factory custom Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be produced for the lucky customers. Mass production is expected to start in 2024,
